Cubs  6th Peace Arch Cub Pack
  


The 6th Peace Arch Cub Pack is a fun merit oriented place for youth aged 8-10 (Grade 3-5). The focus of Cubs is "Do Your Best", so activities are geared towards expanding the youth's horizons and having them trying their best at many things..

 

Regular Meeting Date:      Tuesdays

Meeting Time:                  6:55 PM ( formal meeting starts at 7:00 PM)    - 8:30 PM    

Meeting location:              Crescent Park Elementary Gymnasium, 24th Ave and 128th St, South Surrey, BC

 

Beyond our regular meetings we have many outings, camps etc.  The schedule is continually being adjusted, so be sure to check the calendar below for updates.

Participation

Cub Packs are open to children from ages 8-10. We still have space available for any children looking for a spot.  If you are interested, please contact the Akela or the Group Commissioner.


Potential Outings 2010-2011
  •    Sleepover at the Planetarium, Science World or the Aquarium
  •    Corn Maze
  •    Langley Flight Museum tour
  •    Greenhouse tour
  •    Scout campfire event - Centennial Park evening event for the whole family
  •    Earth Day beach cleanup with the older scouts and BBQ after
  •    Cubaree - one day event at Camp McLean in early May
 
Camping
 
We will have several opportunities this year for camping experiences. Our goal is to do 4 camps + 1 sleepover this year.
  • One of our camps will include the White Tail Beavers (who are looking at moving up from our Beaver Colony to our Cub Pack next year.
     
Fundraisers
 
To support our hall rental and our outings we of course need to raise additional funds beyond what your dues are, so we will do several fundraisers over the course of the year.
  •  Apple Day - selling apples at Ocean Park Mall in October
  •  Popcorn Sales - pre-selling of Scouts Popcorn to friends/family/relatives/strangers in October.  Popcorn delivery in November
  •  Bottle Drive - we are continuously collecting bottles/cans to help fund things, please ask us how you can participate.
